Any recommendations for a good color laser printer with not too $$$ toner prices?

A lot depends on what you are trying to do. There are a lot of all in 1 printers that go for around $100 and all of the print cartridges are pretty close in price. I would suggest buying a Cannon or a HP printer. Usually Black toner is $25-$50 and color is more expensive $50 to $70.Any recommendations for a good color laser printer with not too $$$ toner prices?
The truth of the matter is that for most computer companies, printers are nothing more than the vending machine for the comsumables (ink, toner, paper, etc). Your best bet is to check out per page cost on the toner refills, even if you have to pay a little more upfront for the printer.

Sometimes, the toner refill costs more than the printer. Keep in mind in these circumstances that the toner or ink you get out of the box is substantially less in volume than the refills.

Most cartridges have several different yields for the same printer. And, keep in mind the cost savings of using remanufactured toners versus the more expensive OEM toners.
