Is there a difference between black toner from mono laser printer and black toner from color laser printer?

They are exactly the same. colour mixing on a laser printer does not work the same way it does on an inkjet printer. The toners is applied in very small dots and the final colour you see is not a mixture of colours rather a combination of teeny dots of the various shade of toner.

The toner particles are even the same size. The DPI is only limited by the size od the laser beam. A smaller more pointed bean will result in a higher resolutionIs there a difference between black toner from mono laser printer and black toner from color laser printer?
The toner cartridges of color and Mono Laser Jet printers are different.

The black toner cartridge of a color Laser Jet printer combines with the other toner cartridges in the printer like Cyan, Magenta and Yellow to give a true black printer.

Also, physically, the toner cartridge of the Mono printer often comes with an imaging drum inbuilt. In case of the color Laser Jet printer the imaging drum will be separate. Is there a difference between black toner from mono laser printer and black toner from color laser printer?
Interesting question - which even begs more questions.

First question it begs - Is there a color difference between color and mono laser black toners? The answer is probably not but it depends upon the unit. The two hardest colors to match are black and white. I suspect there may be a slight color difference but it may not be detected by the novice color matcher.

Second question it begs - Is there a particle size difference? The answer is less straight forward. The specific process may mandate different particle sizes - and this is process dependant and this varies by maker and by model within a maker.

Third question it begs - Is there a difference in electrostatic attraction (or whatever term you wish to use for this effect)? The answer is very much dependant upon a maker and model within a maker. I suspect there may be marked differences within models due to model differences.

Having said all that, I suspect there is but it is model and maker specific.
