Does anyone purchase empty toner cartridges, or do I give them awau free to a recycling company?

If you are willing to give them away contact your local headstart program and see if the will accept as a donation, the headstart schools in my town collect printer ink cartridges and the monies collected go to a college scholarship fund that a previous headstart child that is entering college can apply for.Does anyone purchase empty toner cartridges, or do I give them awau free to a recycling company?
Belfast Samaritans have a recycling box in their front hallway and are asking anyone who has empty ink cartridges to place them into the box.

Everything helps so please help Samaritans.Does anyone purchase empty toner cartridges, or do I give them awau free to a recycling company?
there are shops that refill the cartridges for a lot cheaper than new ones. (so don't recycle, reuse)
There are companies that refill them. They will give you money off your purchase if you send them an empty cartridge. Theoretically, you can refill them yourself. Messy job.
Copier toner cartridges can be recycled for their plastic, perhaps can be refilled. Printer ink cartridges can be refilled several times on your own by using refill kits. There are some businesses which take old ink cartridges, clean them and refill them, then sell them for less than a new one. The electronic parts seldom wear out. I have heard of a US company called ';Cartridge World'; which does this.
