Lexmark C522 rejects new toner cartridges as empty?

Does anyone know someone who is good with Lexmark junk?Lexmark C522 rejects new toner cartridges as empty?
i have a lexeme(actually have two but only use one a printer scanner. any time i change a toner cartridge there is a screen that asks me if i've changed the cartridge. you can't go forward till you've answered their queries.


i answer yes


then it asks me if it's a new or old cartridge. (the only reason for that is so it can reset the cartridge full or low)


then it will ask me for the cartridge number.(it then displays what number or numbers it should be.) there again you have to answer which cartridges you are replacing.


why not try to just unplug the printer from the back for about 60 seconds then plug it back in and see what happens.


not the plug that you plug into the receptacle but the one on the back of the printer.

IS IT THE CORRECT CARTRIDGE?


sometimes those cartridges are MISLABELED.


check it against your old one.

If the Toner Low or Toner Empty message does not automatically clear after a new cartridge is installed, do the following to clear the message manually:





Press MENU # 1 9 3 4 in rapid succession, as if you were dialing a phone number. The operator panel should now display TECH.


Press MENU and then press SELECT. The operator panel will display 10. Tech Mode.


Press the left arrow (%26lt;) button once. The operator panel will display NEW CARTRIDGE.


Press SELECT. The operator panel will display [YES].


Press SELECT. The toner warning message should now be gone.


To exit TECH MODE, press MENU # 1 9 3 4 as in step 1. The operator panel should no longer display TECH.





This doesnt apply to your specific model,just your specfic probem,im trying to locate the solution for your specific model,because the numbers you have to press may be different,but try it anyway and see what he does.You may have to go into the configuration menu to reset it or to help it accept that toner.
